Challenge
Create a logo and series of posters for a client's painting show. The show was based around paintings of several species of mushroom and was made to be an educational experience. The logo needed to relate to the forest. The timeframe was 2 days.
Solution
The original logo had mushrooms growing out of it and a white tree, but the client requested that the mushrooms be removed and that the tree be made a dark gray. The posters are made of a series of natural tones. The corners are made to look like the layered gills of a mushroom. The description posters also contain the tree symbol from the logo. This, along with the repeating color palette and the gill pattern, create a sense of continuity throughout the exhibit.
